What we optimise

Every layer of performance

Core Web Vitals

Fix LCP, INP and CLS scores to meet Google's page experience signals and improve organic rankings.

Lighthouse Audits

Full Lighthouse audit across performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO. Prioritised fix list delivered.

Image Optimisation

Convert to WebP/AVIF, implement lazy loading and responsive srcsets. Often the biggest single win.

Server & Caching

OPcache, Redis, CDN configuration and TTFB reduction. Fast server response before any code runs.

Mobile Performance

Separate mobile audit and optimisation. Google mobile-first indexing means mobile scores matter most.

Before & After Report

Lighthouse and CWV scores measured before and after. You'll see exactly what changed and by how much.

Core Web Vitals

The three signals Google measures

LCP

Largest Contentful Paint

Good: < 2.5s

How quickly the largest visible element loads. Fix: server speed, preload hero image, CDN.

INP

Interaction to Next Paint

Good: < 200ms

How fast the page responds to interactions. Fix: reduce JavaScript execution and main thread blocking.

CLS

Cumulative Layout Shift

Good: < 0.1

Visual stability - elements jumping around as the page loads. Fix: size attributes on images and embeds.

FAQs

Performance questions answered

How much will performance optimisation improve my rankings?

Page experience is a ranking signal, not a guarantee. Fixing a 40/100 Lighthouse score to 90+ typically has a measurable positive impact, especially on mobile. It also directly improves conversion rates.

How long does a performance audit take?

Audit delivery takes 2–3 business days. Implementation time depends on what's found - simple image and caching fixes take 1–2 days; JavaScript refactoring can take a week.

Do you optimise WordPress sites?

Yes. WordPress is our most common optimisation target. We work with caching plugins (LiteSpeed, W3 Total Cache, WP Rocket) and can configure server-level caching directly.

Will changes break my site?

We work on a staging environment first and test thoroughly before deploying to production. Nothing goes live on your site without your approval.

What if my site is on a third-party platform like Shopify?

Some optimisations (server-side, hosting) aren't available on hosted platforms. We'll tell you what's achievable within the platform's constraints before you pay anything.

What's the minimum Lighthouse score you can achieve?

Most sites reach 85–95 on desktop and 75–92 on mobile after optimisation. The limiting factor is usually third-party scripts (analytics, chat widgets, ads) that we can't remove.

How fast is your site, really?

We'll run a full Lighthouse audit and tell you what's dragging your scores down - before you spend anything.
